The Wiiware release in Japan was done sometime in the December of 2011, along with subsequent release of the DLC and patching of issues. This was done by Nigoro, the developer. Nicalis, a publisher, was supposed to handle the localization and distribution of the game in America and Europe. Unfortunately, it seems that Nicalis failed to do anything with the master copy that they received 4 or so months ago, and then cancelled the western release without telling Nigoro first.

In my personal opinion, Nicalis was unprofessional and shortsighted. Even if Nicalis didn't make much of an immediate profit from a Wiiware release of La-Mulana, it would have improved their reputation with gamers and developers, on the grounds of being involved with an good game and sticking by their partner, Nigoro. Instead, they have only increased their reputation of being slow and ineffective at handling the localization of their partners, and confirmed that they do not see their partners as equals. My opinion is based on the treatment of Night Sky, Nifflas, the attempted takedown of DeceasedCrab's Let's Plays, and not telling Nigoro about the cancellation before the public announcement.

this is no rumor its true-
Mine bugged when I planted the seed in the temple in the past and got the fruit from the present, immediately after going through the time gate the first time. Then I did the quest to help the whale in the sky thing in the thunderhead. THEN when I go to ANY of the locations to get the song from the dragons, none of them load. Also somehow I have the piece of the song from the Fire dragon already, but none of the other pieces...the sealed grounds 3rd round fight will not trigger, and I have never even seen the thunder dragon ever. And the water dragon just wants its big vessel back. And if the whale in the sky (Levias) is supposed to give you a piece of the song, I did not get a piece. I'm thinking about trying to get some kind of hack or cheat to acquire the song of the hero and skip all this bugged stuff.

To turn on StreetPass for Pokédex 3D, tap on the gear in the upper right corner and use the Give or Get options.

As for the Nintendo-distributed pokémon via SpotPass, just scroll down a little lower and play with the SpotPass option there.

I believe that this being a wiiware release means its going to run at the correct speed in PAL territories. Which means I would rather have THIS title on my Wii than Super Mario All-Stars – 25th Anniversary Edition.

Argon's quest could be good. being developed by the guy's that did battalion wars. theyre even using an upgraded verison of the engine used for those games. it is a licensed title...so best to check the reviews 1st :)
